The e*club’s most important tool is the website, www.esprit-club.com. It provides an overview of club features and promotions, and personalized information for members, such as purchase details and special offers. At time of writing, the e*club is offered in 13 countries, with 18 website versions. To be fast and flexible with changes and new site versions, Esprit uses DXM. DXM is used to manage the multilingual presentation layer (frontend) of the e*club websites, publishing PHP scripted pages to a Solaris server. An internationalised middle layer communicates with an Oracle database of customer data. Esprit is growing and will continue to expand the e*club. At the moment it is available for members in Europe, the US and Canada, with availability in Asia Pacific planned. DXM supports this expansion with capacity for handling Asian character sets and localisation requirements. |

As an enhancement to customer service, Esprit launched their “e*club” in 2002 – a free club for end consumers that provides customer incentives, information, and cooperative services.
